The job offer was indeed meant for me. Yay!
I will sign the paperwork on Monday.
I will be working at the University of Utah Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy. I will be working 2 weeks of day shifts (7-3:30) in either Central Services or the IV Center, a weekend in the IV Center or the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and then 3 swing shifts (2:30-11:00p) that next week in the IVC or NICU. I will be trained to cover Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Mother/Baby, Pregnancy medicine, Cystic Fibrosis and Newborn Intensive Care. Sweet Huh!
In case you didn't know, I am interested in Mother/Baby medicine (particularly in pregnancy- but I love them all) so this is exciting that I can work my way into these positions!
I finally have a path! It is quite nice knowing what I will be doing. I have been kind of a stress case about it all. :D

Interviews
Well,
I just finished my secondary interviews at the University of Utah Hospital.
I'll let you know what happens!

The Tax-Return Bet
Ben and I made a deal that if he could get down to his ideal body weight (~175 lbs) by my graduation then he would get full rights to the tax return.
This means he has to lose 40 lbs in less than 3 months. He is so confident that he can do this, he is waiting to start his diet on Monday. :)
Huh....We'll see. ;P

UFC
Today was the last day of my busiest rotation so far. 5 down...1 to go! Phewww....
I was with one of my classmates, Emily, on this rotation and one of our final projects was a debate against two other students on a different rotation. She's kind of weird, like me, so of course I loved it! Below is the invitation she made for the debate and handed out at a topic dicussion the day before. It's pure dead brilliant.
It is me and Emily on the left and Megan and Alisa, our opponents, on the right. We posted these flyers all over the Skaggs College of Pharmacy building. It was great :)
Along with the flyer, she sent me a song to listen to. She said it was to pump us up for our debate. Of course, expecting eye of the tiger or something like that I was a little stunned to hear what I heard....yet I love it. It got stuck in my head for a good few days...it's still in there a little. :) Wait 'till eye of the tiger is over then it will come on!
We also decided it would be a good idea to blow this picture up, frame it, sign it "Reach for the stars, kid" and give it to our preceptor (rotation teacher person). He said he would hang it up on his wall in his office. ;P sweetness.
Dead Mouse. Shocking.... isn't it?
My slippers have plastic soles or some other material that conducts electricity extremely well. When I have them on I shock myself all over the house....on the banister....on the light switches....on charlie....
...and on the computer mouse. But this one was no simple shock, my friends. Oh no, I felt it travel from my fingers through my chest and onto the back of my opposite shoulder! My finger felt like I got stabbed! Sheesh!
And now..... my mouse is fried. I must go purchase another one. How sad. :(
